[Also in Group XIV] A method of bending a curtain cornice consisting of a metal girder comprising a plurality of suspension rails 1, 2, for carrying the curtain, at least one covering flange 4 serving to conceal the suspension rails and means for carrying the curtain, and a web 3 integrally connecting the flange and the rails, comprises the steps of cutting through said web and said suspension rails at an angle corresponding to the angle of the intended bend, cutting out said web, adjacent to said covering flange, a piece of material having a straight edge or surface of detachment 5 towards said covering flange and curved surfaces of detachment 6, 7 towards said suspension rails, bending said profiled girder to the desired angle, and fixing the cut parts of said web and said suspension rails respectively relative to each other. Cut edges 8 of the web 3 are held together by a fitting 9 riveted, glued or welded to the web. Tongues on one cut face of the web or rails may be formed to co-operate with recesses on the other cut face. The girder may be bent in the opposite direction in which case a filler piece is fitted in the corner. Gaps 11, Fig. 5, may be cut in the rails 1, 2 adjacent the bend, the gaps being overlapped by plastic stoppers 12. A layer of veneer or metal or plastic, may be glued to the front side of the flange 4, or may be held thereon by tracks 15, Fig. 7. A plastic section 14, Fig. 8, may be fitted over the flange 4. Projections on the veneer or plastic section may fit in holes in the flange 4. The coating for the flange 4 may be in three parts, Fig. 9, two end parts 17 being riveted to the flange over the bends and an intermediate part 18 glued to the flange 4 and to the end parts 17.
