Class 53 An air-depolarized cell comprises a zinc cup 1 enclosing a carbon rod 3 surrounded by a mass 2 of porous carbon, and electrolyte 4. The cell is closed by a member consisting of a disc 6 having upper and lower cylindrical parts 8, 5, the upper part being surrounded by sealing material 7. The carbon rod is centred by projections 9 extending inwardly from the part 8.
