848,005. Belting fabrics. LEWIS, J., and RUBBER IMPROVEMENT Ltd. Jan. 16,1957 [Jan. 19, 1956], No. 1865/56. Class 142(4). [Also in Group VIII] A fabric used in lamination belting comprises a warp at least partly of high tensile continuous filament viscose rayon and a weft at least partly of jute. The weave may be plain or broken twill. An example describes a plain fabric having a warp of sevenfold 1650 denier high tensile viscose rayon, 15 per inch, and a jute weft, 14 per inch. Alternatively both warp and weft may consist of threads of the rayon yarn doubled with jute, of not less than 1000 denier, the warp having two parts of rayon to one of jute.
