847,342. Moulding floats for fishing gear &c. BEYER-OLSEN, K., and STEFFENSEN, O. Dec. 9, 1958 [Dec. 10, 1957], No. 39636/58. Class 87(2). [Also in Group VI] A float having a member 1 with a hole 2 for a fastening rope and a valve housing 3 is made by first moulding the member 1 from e.g. polyvinyl chloride in a mould 5 having cores 7, 9 by e.g. centrifugal or injection-moulding and then positioning the member 1 with its cores in the lower half 14 of a mould 12, placing moulding material in the half 14, completing the mould with the upper half 13 and centrifugally moulding the bladder part 18 of the float. Alternatively, the lower half 14 may be used for moulding the member 1 or the member 1 may be positioned away from the mould wall so that the bladder partly or entirely covers the outer face of the member 1.
