A liquefied gas container comprises an inner liquefied gas-containing vessel 10, Fig. 1, mounted on flanged sector plates 41, 45, Fig. 2, within a refrigerant-charged vessel 11 which in turn is mounted on spaced transverse substantially rectangular plates 60, 80 and on pairs of rectangular plates 61, 81 inclined to the vertical axial plane of the assembly and on opposite sides thereof within an outer vessel 12 charged with powder-in-vacuum insulation 16. The mounting members are secured to stiffening ribs 30, 32 of vessel 10 and to ribs 33, 35 of vessel 11. Further stiffening ribs 31, 34 are provided on vessels 10, 11 and vessel 12 has ribs 36 ... 38. Discharge of liquefied gas from vessel 10 is effected by passing liquid refrigerant from a supply line 95 through a heater 110, a line 114 and a coil 115 located within the liquefied gas thus vaporizing a portion of the latter which forces liquefied gas through an outlet duct 92. Refrigerant vapour may also pass through a valve 117 and a line 97 to force liquid refrigerant through the line 95. Specification 845,276 is referred to.
