Abstract
845,022. Injection moulds. KOCH, H., and KOCH, [nee RITTER, V.] [trading as RITTERWERK F. RITTER & SOHN]. April 5, 1957, No. 11103/57. Class 87(2). An injection mould for producing hub-like bodies having embedded thin inserts, e.g. circular knives, is formed of a plurality of plates 1, 3, 5, 15, 16, 17, Fig. 3, which split the mould cavities 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20 in the plane of the inserts 8, alternate plates 15,16, 17 being replaceable by pressure plates 2, 4, 6, Fig. 1, which permit the body to be moulded in two stages. In the first stage, plates 1 to 6 are used, Fig. 1, so that the plastic material is moulded on one side only of the inserts 8 and the second stage, Fig. 3, the plastic material is moulded on the other side of the inserts. The moulding of the body in two stages avoids distortoin of the inserts.
