Abstract
844,882. Sheet-delivery apparatus. SCHICKEDANZ, G. [trading as VEREINIGTE PAPIERWERKE SCHICKEDANZ & CO.]. Sept. 5, 1957 [Oct. 3, 1956], No. 28095/57. Class 100(1) In a method of producing folded cut sections from continuous webs of cellulose fibres or paper or unwoven fibres, continuous single or multi-layer webs are unwound from a plurality of rolls, each such web is folded longitudinally in its direction of travel, all the webs are superimposed and conveyed by pairs of feed rollers, and then lightly bonded by an indenting cut which detaches sections ot equal length. As shown a plurality of webs from rolls 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 are led over longitudinal folders 6 into superimposed relationship on to a table 8 by rollers 7. The superimposed webs are cut transversely by knives 9 and 10, the individual layers being slightly indented along the cut, thus holding the cut sheets together. The cut sheets 13 slide down a shoot 14 on to a travelling conveyer belt 16 where they fall through a window 17 in the belt into the magazines of a magazine chain 18 which moves forward in steps after a pre-determined number of stacks has been deposited. The contents of each magazine are then pushed into boxes.
