844,515. Moulding refractory bricks. HEUER, R. P. May 20, 1958 [June 20, 1957], No. 16184/58. Class 87(2). [Also in Group-XII] In the moulding of a metal cased basic refractory brick (see Group XII) a U-shaped metal plate 28 is seated on the bottom die 35 of the mould, and a combined external plate 20 and internal plate 22 is secured to the upper die 37 as by a magnetic clutch, basic refractory material 38 is inserted in the mould space and the dies 35 and 37 are then moved towards one another. A modification. Fig. 3 (not shown), has an internal plate 22 on each of the plates 20 and 28. Specification 690,898 is referred to.
