Abstract

843,986. Metal drums. PAYTER & CO. Ltd., E. C. April 6, 1959 [April 11, 1958], No. 11501/58. Class 66. A metal drum comprises an open-ended outer casing a of mild steel and a removable inner container b of stainless steel. Channel members a4 on the outer casing are for securing rubber pads a5 and further pads a7 are carried by a cradle as attached to a lower chime ring a2. Fastenings as attached to the top of the inner container at as are pivoted on the outer casing. A ring b1 on the inner container carries a member b2 through which carbon dioxide is introduced into the inner container. According to the Provisional Specification an extension of the base of the inner container co-operates with an extension on the cradle, the extensions being secured together by a bolt.
