Abstract

843,364. Automatic exchange systems. ERICSSON TELEPHONES Ltd. Sept. 19, 1958 [Sept. 25, 1957], No. 30140/57. Class 40 (4). [Also in Group XL (c)] A pulse train is inspected by causing it to set to zero a counter which is continually registering the input of a source of clock pulses, the counter being such that if the pulse train allows it to register more than a given number of clock pulses an alarm is set off. A two-stage counter 11, 12, is illustrated and clock pulses applied to terminal 14 fire tube 11 to prime tube 12 and will fire tube 12 with a subsequent pulse to operate alarm relay F unless continually inhibited by a pulse train applied to terminal 16 to fire tube 13 and extinguish tube 11. If more counter stages than two are employed the repetition rate of the clock pulses is increased accordingly as compared with the pulse train on terminal 16.
