Abstract
843,000. Protractors. ASKANIA-WERKE A. G. Oct. 15, 1956 [Oct. 14, 1955], No. 31322/56. Drawings to Specification. Class 97(3) An angle scale comprises two sets of graduations combined in mirror fashion on a common carrier with an angular displacement between, the amount of the displacement being chosen having regard to the calibration errors of the individual sets of graduations, to give the minimum error of the combined scale, each graduation of which is formed by one graduation from each of the sets in superposition. The sets of graduations are produced one after the other on the same engraving machine, which will not be exactly identical, or have a degree of identity of the same order as that of two scales so produced. The sets of graduations may be combined on a common carrier photographically.
