Abstract

842,738. Separating potatoes from debris. VYZKUMNY USTAV ZEMEDELSKYCH STROJU KOUBEK, S., and SOULA, J. July 17, 1957 [July 24, 1956], No. 22642/57. Class 117 Potatoes are separated from earth and stones by a series of vertically spaced rotated cones 2, 2<SP>1</SP> &c. each cone having fixed spiral partition guides 4, 10 between which the earth and stones pass while the potatoes pass down divided shoots 12 to the next cone finally passing to a conveyer or magazine 14, while the earth and stones similarly pass down shoots 11, 11<SP>1</SP> &c. to a conveyer or magazine 13. In Fig. 3 the material passes from a conveyer 15 and shoot 16 to a trough 17 and a revolving top conical face 19 and then through a compensating end shoot 18 pivoted to 17 and adjustable up or down to suit the material being separated.
