Abstract

The building has a heatable inner courtyard 2 covered by a transparent roof structure 3. The walls of the building surrounding the courtyard are provided with closable openings 8 leading into rooms 7 and a heating and/or an air conditioning apparatus 6 discharges into the courtyard. The walls surrounding the courtyard have a thermal conductivity coefficient (U) of at least 2Wm<-2> K<-1> and preferably of at least 4Wm<-2> K<-1>. The floor 4 of the courtyard is provided with underfloor heating 5 and in summer the roof structure 3 may be raised to ventilate the courtyard. <IMAGE>
