Abstract
841,291. Eyes for dolls &c. RHEINISCHE GUMMI-UND CELLULOID-FABRIK. Feb. 28, 1957 [March 16, 1956; July 28, 1956], No. 6759/57. Class 132(3). An eyelid device for a doll comprises an eyelid member 7 and a weight portion 3, pins 8 for pivotally supporting the device being received in grooves 10 provided in the face of the doll; slots 5, 6 in the shape of a T and eye sockets 15 are also formed in the face of the doll. In assembling the device, the weight 3 is inserted into the slot 5, the pins 8 are set into the grooves 10, and the eyelid member 7 is positioned for movement through the slot 6. An eyeball 2 is then secured in its socket 15 to maintain the eyelid device in position but allowing the device to pivot when the doll is moved about a horizontal axis.
