[Also in Group XXV] A shaft 44, such as the swivel post of a car window vent frame 42, is rotatably mounted in a device C comprising a one-piece sheet metal strip bent to form two substantially parallel resilient arms 72, 74 having intermediate portions bent to form semi-cylindrical projections 76, 78, forming a socket for the shaft, means being provided on the arms to hold them in a fixed predetermined spaced relationship. The means comprise apertures 90, 92 in mounting lugs 84, 86 formed at the free ends of the arms, the apertures being oppositely disposed to receive a stud 97, for securing the device to a panel 40, when the arms are drawn together to frictionally embrace the shaft. An apertured mounting lug 82 is also provided at the bight 70 of the strip, and the arms may additionally be held together by a stud 91 passing through apertures 87, 89, one of which may have tongues for engaging the threads of the stud. A stop 45 limits the rotation of the shaft. Modifications (Figs. 5-7, not shown) are described in which the mounting lugs are bent obliquely to engage panels 40 of differing contours.
