836,984. Impregnated carbon brushes. MORGAN CRUCIBLE CO. Ltd. June 7, 1956 [June 9, 1955; Oct. 3, 1955], Nos. 16657/55 and 28137/55. Class 140. [Also in Groups XXX and XXXV] A pantograph or trolley collector shoe or a dynamo-electric machine brush, made of carbon and/or graphite, is impregnated by suction or pressure with a liquid dispersion of molybdenum disulphide. The liquid, which is subsequently removed by. heat, may include a thermosetting binder, e.g. phenol formaldehyde resin. Metals such as " Babbitt " (Registered Trade Mark), copper and lead may be incorporated by impregnation.
