Abstract

836,401. Semi-conductor rectifier devices. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO. Ltd. Aug. 3, 1956 [Aug. 5, 1955], No. 22645/55. Class 37. A heat dissipating and supporting device for semi-conducting rectifiers consists of a base portion on which the rectifier is mounted and at least three heat-radiating fins extending from the said base member. A preferred embodiment is one in which this device B is of channel section with a multiplicity of fins such that one or more of these fins such as E can be used for supporting the device. Provisions for mounting several rectifiers in the same channel and for blowing cool air along the channel are discussed. The described member may be formed by extrusion. Specification 835,993 is referred to.
