Abstract
The invention comprises 3-aminopyridazine derivatives of the formula <FORM:0836150/IV (b)/1> wherein R is an alkyl, aryl or aralkyl radical, and their preparation by reacting a 3-amino-6halo-pyridazine with the reaction product of an alkali metal, e.g. sodium, and an alcohol of the formula ROH, the reaction being preferably carried out either in an excess of the alcohol ROH or in an inert organic solvent, at a temperature of 50-200 DEG C. The invention also comprises a process for the preparation of sulphanilamido pyridazines of the formula <FORM:0836150/IV (b)/2> by reacting p-acetylsulphanilyl halide with a compound of the formula I in an organic solvent which is preferably a tertiary amine at a preferred temperature between 20 DEG and 100 DEG C., and deacetylating the resulting acetyl compound, for example, by hydrolysis with a strong base. Examples describe the preparation of 6-methoxy-, 6-n-hexyloxy-, 6-phenoxyand 6 - benzyloxy - 3 - amino - pyridazine and their conversion to the corresponding p-acetylsulphanilyl- and sulphanilyl-derivatives.
