834,911. Visual indicators. MARCO INDUSTRIES CO. Nov. 3, 1956, No. 33602/56. Class 40 (1). A visual indicator device comprises a number of glass fronted units 25, Fig. 3 (which shows a rear view), hingedly mounted adjacent to each other in an H.sec. tion frame 12, Figs. 1, 4, and is so arranged that the illuminating bulbs housed in each unit can be tested by applying finger-tip pressure to the unit at the end farthest, away from the hinge. Each unit 25 has a glass front panel 17, on the back of which is written the indication to be illuminated by two bulbs 19, housed within the unit, and is mounted on the frame by a hinge 15, being latched in position by a member 28. On applying pressure, as indicated by arrow 48, Fig. 4, the unit moves inwardly until it contacts a projection 49, which causes the supply voltage 28v to be applied across the bulbs 18, thereby effecting their testing.Depression of a rod 2 releases the latch 28, allowing the unit to be hinged outwardly for the replacement of defective bulbs.
