[Also in Group XXIII] In an electrically-operated tooth brush a liquid-tight seal is provided between the oscillating and/or reciprocating brush stem and the motor casing supporting the stem by a diaphragm consisting of two concentric but axially spaced resilient rings 48, 49 of differing diameter interconnected by a longitudinally pleated dome 51 of flexible material. The smaller ring 49 fits about the brush stem and the other ring 48 is clamped to the casing.
