Abstract

In preparing a suspension of ferrous sulphate monohydrate by maintaining a suspension prepared from a higher hydrate at a temperature of 60 DEG C. to the boiling point according to the parent Specification, said temperature is maintained by introducing steam into the suspension being prepared. Steam may also be used in the preparation of the initial suspension as described in said Specification, and to maintain the temperature of the suspension above 60 DEG C. to avoid setting before use.
