833,784. Electric space heaters. KLEMP, G. April 16, 1957 [May 29, 1956], No. 12442/57. Class 39(3) An electric room heating radiator and convector comprises an cuter casing 1 and an inner casing which defines a vertical air channel 8 and consisting of a back wall 10 having a lower forwardly curved reflector extension 20 and a front part 9 formed with curved side walls and two frontal parallel vertical parabolic or bowshaped reflector surfaces 13 and 14 which, together with the extension 20, are located behind openings in the casing 1. Rodshaped heating resistances 30 and 31, 15 and 16, and 21 and 22 are located respectively in the air channel 8, in front of the surfaces 13 and 14, and in front of the extension 20. The heating resistances (Figs. 5, 6 and 7, not shown) comprise a wire wound on a helically grooved insulator, the depth of the groove being greater than the diameter of the wire. The groove may be covered by a sleeve which may have an internal thread complementary to the insulator groove so that the wire lies in a helical hollow space.
