833,134. Ship's hull construction. FAVRE, A. Feb. 12, 1958 [Feb. 22, 1957], No. 4598/58. Class 113. A ship's hull construction comprises a hollow girder structure 1 of substantially rectangular cross-section, forming the central and longitudinal portion of the hull the height of the section being greater than the width, and two flanking hold structures 4, 5 of substantially rectangular cross-section being secured integrally one at each side of the central girder section and extending longitudinally along the section. The hold sections 4, 5 are also preferably of greater height than width and are provided with a flat top forming the decks 6, 7. The vessel may serve as a liner or river craft but is particularly useful in the transport of bulk liquids such as petroleum.
