832,954. Electric selective signalling. TELEFUNKEN G.m.b.H. Aug. 26, 1958 [Sept. 11, 1957], No. 27310/58. Class 40 (1). At the control end of a remote control system a pair of selector switches A and C, for " units " and " tens " respectively, are each manually settable to select one of ten lines and a pair of gap switches B and D at the other end are driven by a stepping mechanism S to the position where the gaps break the contact with the selected lines, the switches being geared together so that the " tens " switch D steps one position when the units switch B completes a full revolution. The stepping mechanism is energized either through switches A and B or through switches C and D and therefore continues to operate until both circuits are broken. By this means any of a hundred positions of shaft L may be selected.
