In a radio tuning system a shaft 1 is rotated to a desired position by comparing a capacitance 5 representing the actual position of the shaft with a push-button 10 selected capacitance 9 in a bridge circuit and by using a signal, from the bridge, representing their difference to drive a motor 4 until the shaft is in the desired position.
