Abstract
832,602. Drafting devices. RIETER & CIE A.G., J.J. Sept. 3, 1956 [Sept. 2, 1955], No. 25308/55. Class 120(2) In a belt-type drafting device for a textile machine, the surface of a belt 4, guided about and contacting a guide bar 6 is covered with a lining 16 of polytetrafluorethylene. The bar 6 may also be surfaced with a strip 13 of the same substance. Alternatively, the lining 16 may be omitted from the belt and only provided on the belt-guiding means. As shown, the top belt 4 is guided through a cradle 7 which comprises lugs 7, 8 which have riveted or chemically connected to them polytetrafluorethylene linings 9, 19. The inner surface of polytetrafluorethylene may also cover lateral edges 17, 18 (Fig. 4, not shown) of the belt. The lower beltdeflecting rail may be coated in a similar way. Specification 832,603 is referred to.
