Abstract

832,352. Refrigerating PHILIPS GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN N.V. June 11, 1956 [June 14, 1955], No. 17952/56. Class 29 [Also in Group XXVII] The wall 17 bounding the regenerator space comprises a plurality of layers. The wall may be formed by a convolutely wound strip or by a number of concentric cylinders (Fig. 4). The cylinders are soldered in place both at their upper and lower edges. The space 13 is a condenser space at subatmospheric pressure and the gas to be cooled is supplied to the space as a result of this subatmospheric pressure. The invention is applicable to heat pumps.
