Abstract

Pesticidal, herbicidal, fungicidal and plant growth regulant compositions contain 0.01-2% based on the active ingredient of a polymer or copolymer of vinyl pyrrolidone, preferably having a molecular weight in the range of 10,000 to 100,000. Wetting and sticking agents &c. may also be incorporated. Specified active ingredients are fungicides: copper oxychloride, cuprous oxide; pesticides: 1 : 1 : 1-trichlor-2 : 2-di-(parachlorphenyl) ethane, 1 : 2 : 3 : 4 : 10 - hexachloro - 1 : 4 : 4a : 5 : 8 : 8a - 2 : 3 : 3a : 7a - tetrahydro - 4 : 7 - endo - methyleneindene and parathion ; herbicides : the substituted aryloxyaliphatic acids such as 2-methyl-4-chlorophenoxyacetic acid, 2 : 4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid, or a salt preferably an alkylamine salt thereof, polyhalogenated benzoic acids; plant growth regulants: maleic hydrazide. The composition may be anhydrous or an aqueous concentrate or dilution, or may comprise a substantially water-insoluble material in the form of a wettable powder, i.e. admixed with a surface-active agent, or an aqueous suspension concentrate, or may comprise an oil-soluble material in the form of an aqueous emulsion of an oil solution concentrate.
