Abstract

830,010. Fusible cut-outs. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. Nov. 27, 1957 [Nov. 27, 1956], No. 36313/56. Class 38 (1). [Also in Group XXXV] A fusible element for disconnecting a main circuit in which the fusible element is in a branch circuit, comprises an L-shaped bracket 22, 23 carrying a terminal 14 mounted on an insulated base-plate 21. The bracket carries a spring member 24, 25 held on a contact 26 by a fusible element 27 connected to a terminal 16 by a second spring member 28. A predetermined current through terminals 14, 16 melts element 27, breaking the main circuit connected between terminals 14, 15, the latter forming part of contact 26.
