Abstract

829,273. Meshing-screw pumps or motors. IMO-INDUSTRI A.B. May 13, 1958 [May 13, 1957], No. 15365/58. Class 110 (2). The casing, for the pump or motor, is formed of a number of sections 4, 5, 6, and the idler screws, meshing with the main screw 7, are likewise formed of sections 16, 18, 30. The housing sections are duplicates, or substantial duplicates, of one another, only one section being used when a pump of the shortest length is required and additional lengths of housing sections and idler screws added when required. The main screw 7 and idler screws are provided with two threads. In order to relieve pressure on bearing cups 13, 14, 15, pressure fluid is led through vertical bores 21, 20, 19 to cross-ducts 23, 24 to conduits 25, 26, 27 leading to the bases of the bearing cups 13, 14, 15. Tubes 28 connect the bores.
