Abstract

828,358. Windows. TENSATOR Ltd. March 20, 1958 [March 20, 1957], No. 9204/57. Class 20(3) [Also in Group XXXII] A coil spring 25 of the kind defined in Specification 723,056 balances two relatively slidable elements, as shown, a vehicle window frame 17 and the bodywork, and is mounted in a housing 11 which is retained against the window frame by the tension of the spring. The free end of the spring is secured to the bodywork at 26. The housing is located in a slot in frame 17 and carries ribs 16 which abut the face of frame 17. In a modification the spring is carried on a rotatable drum and a tongue on the frame 17 passes through a slot in housing 11. The fixed end of the spring may be secured to the upper edge of the window.
