1333632 Spectacle frames OBE-WERK OHNMACHT & BAUMGARTNER K G 21 Oct 1971 [31 March 1971] 48873/71 Heading G2J A spectacle frame includes a hinge assembly wherein the or each sidearm is hinged at 9 to a lever arm 6, which lever arm is pivotted at 7 to the front frame 1, and on elongate spring 11 is connected to, and housed within, the sidearm, and is engageable with the lever arm, as shown, so that when the sidearm is pressed past a normally open position, the temple is biased towards this normal position. Set screw 17 may coact with fixed member 18 to adjust the tension in spring 11. The spring 11 is contained within a housing 5 forming part of the sidearm, and these are retained by screw 13.
