In an electrostatic precipitator, the discharge wires are supported from a non-conducting support such as the plastic frame 2 ; each individual wire extends through the frame and up to the high-tension terminal 6. Between the frame and the terminal, the wires may be nested or plaited into a bundle, and clamped or soldered together.
