Class 20(4) [Also in Group XXVIII] The reinforcing wire wrapping of a stressed concrete article is anchored by means having an anchoring formation, a sole 10 which may be flat or curved, adapted to be overlain by several turns of wire, and an end flange 12 adapted to be located between adjacent wire coils. As shown, the anchor 8 is embedded in a recess in the pipe 16 and one end 18 of the wire is clamped in the eye 14 of the anchor by a split wedge 20; the other end of the wire is passed through a longitudinal slot in the eye 26 of the anchor 24 and secured by a split clamp 32.
