Abstract

827,993. Electrical theft alarms. SECURITY PRODUCTS MANUFACTURING CO. Ltd. Nov. 29, 1957 [Dec. 19, 1956; April 18, 1957], Nos. 38615/56 and 12814/57. Class 118 (1). A wages &c. bag is provided with an alarm device operated by breakage of a circuit incorporating a frangible conductor. The bag is strapped to the wrist by a strap (Fig. 2) carrying the wires 40, 41 connected by stud and fastener 38, 39. A plug-and-socket connector 33, 32 (Fig. 6) connects the wires to the alarm device. The circuit of Fig. 6 shows the device in operative position, the current flowing round the thick portions of the circuit. On attempted theft the loop of wire from 32 is broken, releasing relay 57 and closing the alarm circuit 51 to operate the alarm 52. The relay cannot be closed due to 55 breaking. The ganged switch banks 30a, 30b and 30c provide for an inoperative position with no current in either relay or warning circuits and intermediate setting condition when the relay 57 is energized through the warming circuit, the alarm circuit being inoperative. A modified circuit arrangement is also disclosed in the first Provisional Specification.
