Abstract
827,984. Mounting terminals. MONTECATINI SOC. GENERALE PER L'INDUSTRIA MINERARIA E CHIMICA. Sept. 17,1956, No. 28406/56. Class 38 (1). A terminal assembly for sealing into a can, for example for a transformer or a condenser, comprises terminals pushed into passages 27 in a resilient insulating member 18 of a fluocarbon resin, e.g. p.t.f.e., the member 18 being held in compression between the terminal 13 and flanges 30 on the can cover 15. The cover is assembled on member 18 before the terminals are inserted, the side walls of the cover flange 21 being subsequently pressed inwards. The assembly is fitted into the can and the cover soldered in position. In another embodiment (Fig. 10) a terminal is anchored in a resilient insulating body 111 which fits into a cup 113 having a ring 129 which is pressed inwards to grip the insulating body. The assembly is secured on a panel by a screw 132.
