827,973. Extrusion apparatus. OLIN MATHIESON CHEMICAL CORPORATION. March 27, 1956 [March 28, 1955], No. 9510/56. Class 87(2). Plasticized material, e.g., viscous lacquer, is forced through an inlet 5 and through a perforated wall of a cylinder 9, and is severed by relative rotation between the cylinder 9 and a cutter blade 15, the severed particles of material being suspended in a liquid admitted at 2 and discharged at 3. As shown, the cylinder 9 is stationary and the cutter 13, Fig. 3, comprises several spiral blades 15 which are rotated in a direction tending to direct the particles upwardly.
