A glass having the same coefficient of expansion as copper has the following composition : PbO 10-30%; SiO 2 10-30% ; ZrO 2 5-20% ; Al 2 O 3 2-10% ; MoO 2 1-5% ; TiO 2 1-5%; LiO 2 1-5%; Na 2 O 1-5% ; K 2 0 1-0À1%. The glass is used for making a seal between a wire &c. and a second part (see Group XXXVI). Specification 603,489 [Group XXXVI] is referred to.
