[Also in Group XXIII] A glass lubricant used when hot drawing or hot extruding titanium or its alloys contains : SiO 2 - - - - 25-48% B 2 0 3 - - - - - 10-32% CaO,BaO,MgO- - - 3-17% and Na 2 0 - - - - 10-20% or K 2 O - - - - 18-45% or Na 2 O and K 2 0 together, the K 2 0 increasing from 0 to 18 to 45% while the Na 2 O decreases from 10-20% to 0-5% to 0%. Small amounts of aluminium and vanadium may be present.
