In an infra-red gas analyser comprising absorption tubes 1, 2 and detector chambers C connected to a diaphragm condenser D, E in a chamber 3, a single infra-red source H with a double rotating chopper S is arranged between the ends of the tubes 1, 2. The respective tubes 1, 2 and chambers C can be arranged at an angle to one another instead of being in a straight line.
