Abstract
In a haymaking machine of the type having pairs of rake-wheels driven by contact with the ground or crop, the rearmost rake-wheel of the rearmost pair is raisable, by a chain, out of contact with the ground so that it acts to spread uniformly the crop displaced by the forward rake-wheel, whereby the machine may be used for aerating the crop, with the rear-most wheel raised, or as a swath-turner, with all wheels in ground-contact. The invention is shown applied to the machine described in Specification 826,541.
