Abstract

825,351. Earth-movingapparatus. CLARK EQUIPMENT CO. May 15, 1958 [June 12, 1957], No. 15661/58. Class 68(1) To allow of tilting of a dozer blade 16 about an axis parallel to the central longitudinal axis of a U-shaped yoke 17, 18, 20, on which the blade is mounted, the pivotal connections 21 of the rear ends of the side limbs of the yoke are such that one or both can be vertically adjusted to cause the desired tilting of the blade. Each connection 21 consists of a ball and socket universal joint between a limb 18 and a strut 28 at right angles to the limb 18. The strut 28 is pivotally connected to a vehicle chassis by a pin parallel to the longitudinal axis of the chassis by a jack 36, 38. The blade which is pivotally connected to the front of the yoke about an axis transverse of the yoke can be rotated about said axis by jacks 60 and the yoke can be rotated about a transverse axis through the ball and socket joints by jacks 43. The struts 28 can be rotated by jacks 36.
