Abstract

Olefin polymer compositions comprise a polyolefin produced by a low pressure polymerization process and 0.5 to 20% of a mineral white oil having a boiling range lying substantially within the range 250 DEG to 500 DEG C. The olefin may be ethylene, propylene or butylene and is polymerized at a pressure of below 500 atmospheres and a list of catalysts is given which are two-component or solid-supported catalysts comprising as one component a compound of a transistion metal of the A subgroups of Groups IV to VII or of Group VIII of the Periodic Table. The mineral white oil consists mainly of aliphatic hydrocarbons and is substantially free of aromatics and unsaturates. The composition may further comprise stabilizers such as organic phosphites, calcium or cadmium stearates, polymeric glycidyl ethers or alkyl tin esters. Specification 803,557 is referred to.
