Abstract

822,873. Kinematograph apparatus. ZEISS IKON DRESDEN VEB. Feb. 10, 1958 [Sept. 23, 1957], No. 4243/58. Class 97(1) A camera includes an escapement mechanism which is used for timing an exposure run and also an interval before exposure commences. In the form shown a pointer 5 is set to indicate on the scale 6 the exposure required. This rotates the cam 4 anti-clockwise and tensions the spring 22 which thereupon rotates the cam clockwise at a speed determined by the escapement, not shown. The cam engages the lever 7 pivoted to the bell crank 9. The cam movement drives the lever 7 against the stop 11 and then pivots the bell crank until the nose 16 is removed from path of the stop 17 on the shaft 18, thereby permitting the mechanism to run until the lever 7 drops into the notch 25 of the cam 4. The camera may also be operated manually by a button 15 actuating the bell crank directly.
