Abstract
822,214. Swash plate pumps. INTEGRAL Ltd. Aug. 1, 1957, No. 24431/57. Addition to 820,417. Class 102(1). [Also in Group XXIX] The hydraulic pump of the parent Specification is modified in that the pressure regulating valve 21 is made subject in the direction tending to open it, not only to the reduced hydraulic pressure at the low pressure side of the servo cylinder, but also to the full delivery pressure of the pump. The half-ball valve is mounted in a cup retainer 53 backed by a spring 23, the loading of which can be adjusted by an adjusting screw 54. Pump delivery pressure via conduits 51 and 52 is fed to the top of a pistonlike member 50 in contact with the valve 21, while reduced pressure from the lower pressure side of the servo cylinder is sensed on the exposed upper surface of the valve 21, the two pressures acting together, in opposition to the spring 53 to tend to open the valve.
