821,343. Gas-liquid contact columns. METAL PROPELLERS Ltd. Oct. 18, 1957 [Oct. 23, 1956], No. 32326/56. Addition to 742,284. Class 55 (2). In a modification of the gas-liquid contact column of the parent Specification liquid overflows from each tray to the tray below either, as shown in Fig. 1, at the ends of the assembly of tubes 12 or, as shown in Fig. 2, by means of liquid downcomers 23. The column may be provided with flanged openings 18 (Fig. 1) and each tray constructed so that it may be withdrawn as shown.
