Classes 52(2) and 52(3) Two sofa-like frames 1, 2 are pivoted together at 11 in the corner of a room so that they can be swung relatively to form a double bed against either wall or extending diagonally from the corner (Fig. 3), the head end of each frame being bevelled at 4 or 6, these edges abutting in the sofa position (Fig. 2). A filler 3 occupies the room corner in the sofa position and the space between edges 4, 6 in the bed position. As shown, the filler 3 is linked to the frames so that it moves automatically from one position to the other. By suitable choice of the angle of bevelling of edges 4, 6 and of the shape of filler 3, the assembly can be adapted to rooms the corner of which is not a right angle. The filler may run on glides or castors and may be constructed as a table or chest. The frames may include drawers and cupboards may be mounted on the walls above the frames. Pivot 11 may serve to attach the frames to the floor.
