Abstract
820,058. Mats for vehicles. ETABLISSEMENTS BONNERON GUMET & CIE. July 5, 1956 [Aug. 31, 1955], No. 20841/56. Class 142(4) A flexible mat of rubber or a synthetic plastic has ribs 2 separated by channels 3, the channels leading to collectors 4 which carry mud and water to a drainage recess 5. The recess leads to a pipe 6 which empties outside the vehicle. A ridge 7 is provided around the edges. The pipe may be formed integrally with the mat or may be seated in a recess in the upper or lower surface of the mat. The ribs 2 and channels 3 may have a cross-section as shown in Fig. 3. The channels 3 may be inclined from the centre of the mat towards the collectors 4 to facilitate drainage.
