[Also in Division E1] A shower bath installation has a water retaining shutter assembly 34 comprising several flexible interconnected panels 50 extending between tracks secured to the walls of the installation so that the shutter assembly is movable from a position where it spans the entrance to the installation to a storage position which is not parallel to the first position. As shown in Fig. 1 the water retaining shutter assembly 34 may be fitted above a bathtub 10 between two channel-shaped tracks 36, which are secured to walls 18, so that in the stored position the shutter assembly 34 is positioned in the curved portion of the tracks 36. Alternatively, Fig. 13, a shutter assembly comprising vertical panels 50 may be slidably mounted in tracks 102, 104 secured to the top and bottom of an apertured front wall and side wall of a shower stall, so that in the stored position the shutter assembly is positioned adjacent the side wall. The panels 50 formed from linear polyethylene are moulded with an undulating surface and have a beaded upper edge 52 which telescopically engages with a socket portion 54 on the lower edge of the adjacent panel. The shutter assembly 34 is completed by providing a metallic strip 56 at the lower end with handles 70, 72 and a sealing member 66 and a hollow rod 58 at its upper end. Plastic inserts may be slidably mounted in the tracks to provide a more effective bearing surface for the sliding panels.
