[Also in Group XXX] A dish washing machine having means for conveying dishes or other crockery preferably disposed in baskets, along a roller conveyer whereby the conveyer is divided into two lines or paths 2 and 3 disposed in parallel or at an angle to each other, and provided with a transferring device in the form of a turntable 4, or a conveyer 16 travelling in a direction transverse to that of the roller conveyers, at a transition point from the first or running in path to the running out path thereof, characterized in that a dish washing or spray chamber 1 is arranged in the running in path of the conveyer and a discharging station 13 for washed crockery as well as a loading station for baskets with crockery to be washed are arranged in the running out path of the roller conveyer. The baskets 5 are loaded at 6 or 7 depending on whether they need to pass through pre-rinsing tank 8 and are then pushed across sloping plate 9 onto roller conveyer 2 down which they travel under the influence of gravity. After passing through spray chamber 1 they reach turntable 4 which is provided with guide bars 11 and 12 and may be power driven. Turntables 15 and 10, Fig. 2, may replace plate 9 and turntable 4, in which case the axes of these turntables may be inclined so as to raise the baskets from one conveyer to the other. The turntables may be replaced by transverse roller conveyers 16 which, when it is necessary to raise the baskets from one roller path to the next, are mounted on a platform which is automatically raised by the arrival of a basket on to conveyer 16 and lowered again after the basket has been transferred.
